Sondages started

Two small slit trenches, or sondages, have been started across the northern boundary of the rectangular field. So far a number of finds have come from the field side of the boundary, while very few have come from the northern side, which is strewn with boulders and therefore not cultivated in prehistory. This further supports the idea of manuring of the field with material from a household midden.
